Content Moderation & Acceptable Use Policy
Verbison helps website operators prepare and translate existing content and publish it as AI-generated audio. The service may be used only for lawful content and purposes. This policy explains our rules and how we address possible misuse.
Permitted use
You may use Verbison for your own content or content you are entitled to use and publish. Lawful editorial and commercial uses include:
- Articles, news, magazines and documentaries
- Company, product and specialist information
- Knowledge and educational resources
- Multilingual editions and alternative audio access to web content
Sensitive topics in journalism and research
Discussing a sensitive subject is not prohibited in itself. Lawful news, documentary, scientific and historical work, as well as education and prevention, may describe problematic conduct. Context, purpose and effect matter: the publication must not promote or practically facilitate prohibited conduct.
Prohibited content and purposes
Verbison must not be used to create, distribute, promote or support content or services involving:
- Unlawful content or instructions that promote or practically facilitate unlawful activity
- Fraud, phishing, identity theft or other deliberate deception
- Malware, harmful software, or abusive hacking or cracking services
- Infringement of others’ copyright, trademarks, personality or privacy rights
- Sexual exploitation or abuse of minors, or pornographic content or sexual services
- Illegal drug trade or other prohibited goods and services
- Unlicensed gambling services
- Terrorism or violent extremism, specific threats of violence or calls for violence
- Targeted hateful or abusive content
Misuse of synthetic speech
The AI-based translation and speech features must not be used for fraudulent impersonation or misleading claims of authenticity. In particular, do not knowingly present synthetic audio as a real statement by a specific person or evade legally required disclosures or labels.
Personal and confidential information
Process personal or confidential information only when you are legally entitled to do so. Do not use Verbison to disclose unlawfully obtained data, violate privacy rights or reveal confidential information without authorisation.
Sensitive and higher-risk content
Where content presents heightened risks to health, safety, financial interests, personal rights, minors or public safety, we may request additional information and review or restrict the use in the individual case. This applies particularly if lawful and responsible use is not sufficiently clear. We do not promise to review every individual article.
Review and moderation practice
Verbison may review new websites before public audio delivery and existing websites or uses during operation. We can verify that a website belongs to a customer account, manually approve or suspend websites, and stop public audio delivery for an affected website or account. We investigate specific indications of possible violations, such as reports or unusual use. We do not promise comprehensive automated content monitoring or legal pre-screening of all texts.
Technical availability or approval does not mean that Verbison has legally reviewed or endorsed every piece of content. The website operator remains generally responsible for the content they provide.
Report misuse
If you believe Verbison is being misused or used unlawfully on a website, email info@verbisonai.com. If possible, include the affected URL and a short description. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive data.
Investigation and measures
If there is a concrete suspicion, we may review the affected URL or website and request information from the account holder. Depending on the nature, seriousness, recurrence, urgency and risk of a violation and on legal duties, measures may include:
- Informing or warning the user
- Disabling affected publications or public audio delivery
- Temporarily restricting creation of further language editions
- Temporarily suspending a website or account
- Terminating the service under applicable contractual and legal rules
- Removing content under applicable contractual, retention and deletion rules
Serious or urgent cases may require action without prior warning. We choose proportionate measures for the circumstances.
Authorities and legal duties
Where required by law, we may preserve information, restrict access or cooperate with competent authorities. This does not imply general monitoring of all content.
Circumvention
Do not technically circumvent suspensions or approval decisions, create additional accounts to evade them, or add a suspended website again through another account.
Effective date and changes
